What SceneLock collects
Your email address (for signing in and deal notifications), the name you enter for a deal, any handle, display name, bio, or profile picture you choose to add, and the content of deals you create or receive: titles, prices, dates, terms, and any files you attach.
What SceneLock does not collect
SceneLock does not collect government ID, home addresses, or payment card details directly. Payment information for subscriptions is handled entirely by Stripe; SceneLock never sees or stores your card number.
How it's used
To operate deals between you and the other party, send sign-in and deal-status emails, process subscription billing, and maintain the timestamped record a locked deal depends on. Deal content is visible only to the two people on that specific deal, except a public profile page if you choose to claim a handle.
Who it's shared with
The other party to a deal you create or receive sees the deal's terms and your name, by design, that's what a locked deal is. Service providers that keep SceneLock running: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (billing), and Resend (email delivery). None of them use your data for their own purposes beyond providing that service to SceneLock.
Files and storage
Contracts and delivery evidence are stored privately; only the two parties to that deal can access them, verified on every request. Profile pictures are stored publicly, since they're shown on your public page to anyone with the link.
How long it's kept
Deal records are kept indefinitely by design, that's the point of a locked, timestamped agreement. Archiving a deal hides it from your own view; it does not delete it or affect the other party's copy of the record.
Your choices
You can update your name, handle, bio, and photo at any time in Account settings. You can sign out at any time. Because locked deals are shared records between two people, one party can't unilaterally delete a deal the other party is relying on.
Changes
This policy may be updated as SceneLock adds features. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
